WRU are going to make same mistakes again

WITH the Welsh Rugby Union having announced the reduction of professional teams in Wales from four to three, I fear that the same mistakes are about to be made.
It all went wrong in 2003 when the WRU allowed the names of the ‘regions’ to be Cardiff Blues, Newport Gwent Dragons, Llanelli Scarlets and Neath/Swansea Ospreys. In doing so they immediately disenfranchised every other club in Wales.
We did, of course, also have the Celtic Warriors at that time but following the first season Bridgend and Pontypridd were cast aside.
