ESHER scrum-half Pierre Thompson is relishing the chance to be back on the pitch after more than a year out of rugby and aims to re-establish himself as one of the premier No.9s in National Two East.
Thompson, who has long been a key figure in Esher’s attacking game, admits the gruelling road back from a knee injury sustained at the tail end of the 2023/24 campaign against Barnes was frustrating, but believes the enforced break has given him a new perspective.
