Ambitious Byron McGuigan wants to win titles with Sale Sharks – and ultimately become England’s defence coach.
The former Scotland winger enjoyed a fine playing career, which harvested more than 100 appearances during seven years at Sale.
He has served on Alex Sanderson’s coaching staff since retiring as a player in 2023 and became Sharks defence coach last November after Jamie Langley joined Leeds Rhinos.
Asked about his future ambitions, Namibia-born McGuigan said he is aiming for the very top.
