Jones snatches it for Merthyr

BEN Jones’ last-gasp penalty snatched a dramatic opening day 22-19 victory for reigning champions Merthyr at Neath in the Welsh Premiership.
Captain Paddy McBride, Jack Kathrens and Dafydd Land were the Merthyr try scorers with Jones also adding two conversions.
Neath had battled back from 12-0 down to lead 19-12 with tries from Sion Jones, Morgan Meaclem and Kian Jones, and two conversions from Paul Short. But the Ironmen rallied – and won it with the last kick of the match.
