Blow for Exeter as injury rules out Tua

EXETER centre Tamati Tua will miss most of the season after undergoing surgery on an Achilles injury last week. The 27-year-old New Zealander scored two tries in 19 appearances last season having joined from the Brumbies.
“Realistically we’re looking at a six to nine month return period,” Exeter director of rugby Rob Baxter said. “It’s our responsibility to try to make the season as long as possible to give him the best chance of playing this season.”
