The £60m windfall to Rugby Australia from the Lions tour has started the wheel turning for the return to rugby union of wing wizard Mark Nawaqanitawase.
The prolific finisher, known Down Under as “Marky Mark”, left the 15-man code for the NRL club Sydney Roosters soon after the 2023 World Cup. By that time he had already made a splash in rugby union by winning 11 Wallaby caps, but he has made even bigger waves in his first year in rugby league by scoring 23 tries in 22 games.
