Newcastle Red Bulls move for Italy hooker Hame Faiva

Newcastle Red Bulls have signed Italy hooker Hame Faiva on a one-year deal. The 31-year-old left Bath at the end of last season after an injury-hit spell at The Rec.
The move to Newcastle sees him reunite with director of rugby Steve Diamond, who he previously worked with at Worcester Warriors.
“He’s a good pro who knows what it’s all about, and he’ll give us the quality and depth that we need to kick on at this level,” Diamond, right, said.
“He was left high and dry by what happened while we were at Worcester, but he’s a great addition to our group.”
