Family day out for Graham Price

Graham Price and Ian ‘Ikey’ Stephens last joined forces on the international stage in the New Zealand winter of 1983, propping the Lions scrum in the first Test against the All Blacks in Christchurch.
Now, more than 40 years later, Price’s grandson, Morgan Apperley, is preparing to line up in the Pontypool United pack for the under-13 Dragons Cup final at Rodney Parade next Sunday, kick-off 1.45pm.
Their opponents, Penallta, will bring their very own chip off an old Lions’ block, Stephens’ grandson Finley, a lockcum-back row forward.
