Its been a campaign of near misses for Caldy as their end-of-season targets have gone from mid-table to now focusing on avoiding finishing bottom of the table.
The Merseysiders were gathering momentum before the Premiership Cup break earlier this year but have since suffered back-to-back defeats to Chinnor and Ampthill by just a handful of points.
