SCOTLAND flanker Rory Darge believes Glasgow’s 2023 Challenge Cup final defeat by Toulon proved pivotal in their progression to URC champions last season as they prepare for a tasty Champions Cup reunion in the south of France today.
Warriors were overpowered 43-19 by an experienced Toulon outfit at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium at the end of Franco Smith’s first season as head coach, having also stumbled in a home URC quarter-final loss to eventual champions Munster.
