And where won’t he be heading, according to the rumour mill? Back home to South Africa, funnily enough.
The man who kicked 22 points to beat England in the 2019 World Cup final, booted the same opposition out of last year’s semi-final and then did for the All Blacks the following weekend with four perfectly-struck penalties, is expected to leave Leicester when his contract expires at season’s end.
