WILL Baker's impeccable kicking display brought an end to ' losing run in a tight all-Yorkshire contest at Dore Moor. Coming off the back of three successive defeats, the Tigers fly-half gave his side the edge with a succession of superb penalties. Despite late Otley pressure, the visitors fell just short.

The visitors were gifted early points, Gavin Stead stroking a penalty on the 22.

Otley then increased their advantage with a well-taken try from Conner Parnell, the wingman finding himself on the end of a slick backline move, for an eight-point lead.

Midway through the half, Tigers full-back Sam Wager's powerful run provided space for a Jim Norman try. Baker provided the extras and then put his side ahead 10-8, with his first pen.

Otley regained the lead on the half hour when Sam Waddington surged over.

With the last kick of the half, Baker slotted a long-range effort to take the sides in even at 13-13.

Baker stepped up again shortly after the break rifling a penalty from near half-way.

Stead then replied to level the score. On the hour mark, Barney Goatley crossed for the hosts and a subsequent Baker pen proved too much for the visitors.
