THERE was to be no early Christmas present for as their wait for a home win continued.

Ellis Causey's early try gave the hosts belief they could cause an upset, but the visitors proved too strong.

Hoppers were looking to bounce back after a disappointing afternoon at Lymm last weekend, while Titans hoped to strengthen their promotion charge.

Titans showed their prowess at the setpiece to take the lead, with Callum Bustin dotting down from a rolling maul after seven minutes.

Causey's try got Hoppers on the board after charging down a Rotherham clearance, but he injured himself as he crossed the line.

The visitor's captain, Zak Poole, regained the lead for his side, scoring from a maul to make it 10-7 at the break. Charlie Capps showed his strength to burst under the posts, extending their lead, and John Okafor added a bonus point score seven minutes later.
