Foreman holds his nerve to earn home side draw

Billingham…………..25

Lymm……………………25

Deadeye: Ryan Foreman

BOTH sides walked away with two deserved points in what was a great game for the neutral.

Lymm started the brighter of the two as James Pitcher latched on to a short pass to go over in the corner. Tom Shard kicked the conversion.

The visitors built on their lead when Shard kicked a penalty to give the away side a 10-0 lead.

A fine executed move from Lymm saw Jack Reynolds slice through the Billingham defence fto score, and Shard converting.

Billingham got back into the game when determined No.8 Anth Jackson held off two would-be tacklers to dot down. Peter Evans converted.

Billingham then began to build some momentum.

An opportunistic kick landed in the hands of Nathan Myers who sold a dummy to score. The conversion was missed.

Billingham came out of the blocks in the second half as Kieran Clark barrelled his way over, withEvans converting.

The rest of the half was a battle of the kickers as Shard and Ryan Foreman traded penalties until Lymm scored a catch and drive through Matthew Hand.

Lymm had a slender three-point lead as Billingham went on the attack, and they were awarded a penalty with four minutes left, which Foreman kicked.
