BISHOP'S Stortford deservedly won an entertaining contest against at Westleigh Park.

The day couldn't have started better for the home side as Jake Sterland retrieved the kickoff and James Stubbs scored under the posts following a Will Glister kick through.

were reduced to 14 men when Charlie Myall was adjudged to have made a tackle within ten metres of a quick tap and Stortford took advantage, scoring a second try through hooker Alex Rayment. Then a crossfield kick was gathered by Rogers and he claimed his second.

The Lions reduced the deficit just before half-time when Myall crossed in the corner following an extended period of pressure.

Stortford scored their bonus-point try after 49 minutes when another driving maul was finished by Rayment and, ten minutes later, Josh Stannard chipped and regathered to extend the lead.

With the contest seemingly over, the Lions came to life, scoring through Lewis Chessum.

Connor Lloyd kicked a long-range penalty to secure the result for Stortford, but another Myall try and Lewis penalty earned the hosts two bonus points.
