SHEFFIELD scrumhalf Elliot Fisher scored a club record six tries as they demolished Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield.

The home side raced into an early 21-0 lead thanks to two tries from Fisher, before James Flint crossed for the home side.

Huddersfield hit back with a try from Harry Whitfield soon after, before Sheffield's Fisher crossed for his hat-trick try just before the 30-minute mark.

It was one-way traffic with Christian Hooper crossing for the hosts, before Fisher again crossing for his fourth try on the stroke of half-time, taking Sheffield in with a 40-7 lead.

The visitors stuck at it after the break scoring the first try of the second period through Lewis Quinn. However, normal service soon resumed when Fisher crossed for his fifth try of the afternoon for the hosts.

William Smith added another try for the hosts, before Hooper crossed for his second of the afternoon just two minutes later.

Soon after the hour mark had passed, Fisher crossed for his sixth try of the afternoon, an incredible feat for the scrumhalf.

Whitfield would cross for a consolation score for the visitors with ten minutes left, but the home side had the final say when winger Hooper crossed for his hat-trick try to cap a memorable day.
