Evans: It was good for Smith to play 15

Harlequins attack coach Nick Evans believes Marcus Smith will be all the better for his full-back experience at the World Cup, despite being put through the ringer physically as England’s last line of defence.
Smith, 24, has never played in the position for Harlequins before but was Steve Borthwick’s surprise pick in the No.15 jersey in the quarter-final against Fiji and then in the bronze final against Argentina. A battering at the hands of Fiji meant he missed the semi-final against the Springboks between those two outings.
