BOURNVILLE produced the performance they had been threatening for four weeks to stun the students in what was an epic contest.
An interception try from Sam Grimshaw 13 minutes from time helped Bournville to only their second win of the season, but it was replacement tighthead prop Kurtis Payne who really turned the game.
Bournville had enjoyed only parity in the scrums until the arrival of Payne, who replaced Ryan Smeilus midway through the first half, and gave them almost complete dominance.
