CINDERFORD were quicker in thought and action for much of the first half and, despite Stortford’s pack enjoying an unaccustomed edge in the scrums, were fortunate to go in to the break a point ahead.
Cinderford took a seven-point lead when livewire scrum-half Tom Knight scored from a quickly-taken penalty.
Scores were levelled when Chris Smith then intercepted to race in.
