Conan will be fit for RWC

head coach Andy Farrell says injured back row Jack Conan will be fit for selection for the .

Conan was forced off with a foot injury in the first half of Ireland's win over earlier this month and sat out last week's training camp in Portugal.

Farrell says prop Dave Kilcoyne and hooker Ronan Kelleher will also be available for .

“Jack, David and Ronan, they are not long term,” Farrell said. “Whether they are going to be fit for next week [when Ireland play ] or not we don't quite know. Probably not.

“Will they be fit for the start of the World Cup and available for selection? Definitely, yes.”

's Kieran Treadwell was among five players released this week from Ireland's World Cup squad.

Treadwell, who won the last of his 11 caps against in March, drops out alongside Caolin Blade, Gavin Coombes, Calvin Nash and Jamie Osborne.
