Tigers in line to keep Watson

ON THE BLINDSIDE

Leicester Tigers have emerged as the favourites to re-sign Anthony Watson following the World Cup later this year after the RFU agreed to pay his wages until the end of the tournament.
Watson, 29, who spent nine years at Bath, has been without a club since his one-year deal with the former Premiership champions ran out at the start of the month.
The Lions winger had attracted interest in France from Castres while Saracens were sniffing around him at one stage, but it now looks like he will remain at Welford Road for another season.
