Leicester Lions proved too good and too strong for Exeter University.
The Lions pressurised Exeter from the start, with good work down the right finished off by James Stubbs who went over for a try, with Ben Young converting.
The home side then conceded a penalty from which Exeter University took quickly, and darting wriggling play by Jack Park took him through the Lions defence to open their scoring.
As the half progressed, Lions tight forward play started to take effect.
They took a line-out throw inside the Exeter University...
