Preston Grasshoppers celebrated their 800th league game with a narrow, hardfought 28-25 win over Otley at Lightfoot Green Lane.
Will Hunt opened the scoring with a simple penalty.
But the game lacked flow, and Joe Rowntree levelled from the kicking tee in the 29th minute.
Tyler Spence scored the first try of the game in the 41st minute after he broke free on the left touchline, and crossed the line to score, but Hunt failed to convert.
