Cambridge made it ten points from ten since New Year’s Day as they saw off a spirited challenge from Darlington Mowden Park in driving rain at Grantchester Road.
The Blood and Sand were in front in less than 60 seconds as Tom Hoppe touched down from Kwaku Asiedu’s break and inside pass. Debutant fly-half Matty Arden added the extras.
Matt Minogue responded with a penalty for Park, only for Hoppe to return the favour for the onrushing Asiedu to dot down for his 15th score of the season.
