Please listen to Peter’s proposal

PETER Jackson may have given rugby the best possible Christmas present it could receive with his advocacy of a British and Irish league.
It is to be hoped that the power brokers of the game take his proposals seriously. I have been boring anyone with the patience to listen since the game went professional that such a league is the way forward.
English clubs might object but surely we all have a duty to do what is best for the whole game and not be parochial about our own individual leagues. I would argue the two Italian clubs should be included whilst a play off between the winners o...
