I had been involved with London Irish since I was about six years old, so to sign pro for them one week before my 18th birthday was a dream come true. At one point, I was Conor O’Shea’s ball boy and then I went on to become his understudy at full-back. Looking back, it’s funny how we both ended up being so heavily involved in Italian rugby.
