Regional 1 Midlands round-up: Roome’s injury-time try seals triumph for Derby

An injury-time try courtesy of Jake Roome rescued victory out the jaws of defeat for Derby in the Regional 1 Midlands.
The 4G pitch at Derby meant that their tie against Oundle was the only one in the league that beat the freezing pitch conditions experienced elsewhere.
Fans that made the trip to Derby weren’t left disappointed as Roome rescued a 38-35 victory for the hosts after Oundle made an incredible second half fightback and came within minutes of winning the match.
