Eagles fail to keep the American dream alive

I’M so thrilled for Portugal that they managed to book their place at next year’s World Cup – but USA’s failure to qualify is a hammer blow to the game on a wider level, and World Rugby’s dream to have America as an international powerhouse.
With the USA hosting the Rugby World Cup in 2031 much work must be done to turn them into a competitive force, and also sell the game to the public.
