Marler calls for change of governance

JOE Marler believes it may be time for a new “independent” organisation to be charged with repairing the financial problems facing the club game and paving the way for a brighter future.
The Harlequins prop, who lines up for the Barbarians today against a New Zealand XV having been left out of the England squad, feels a change of governance is needed to stop any more clubs joining Wasps and Worcester in heading into administration and relegation from the Premiership.
