Shameful evidence of slow strangulation

MAY I offer my heartfelt congratulations to all the minor counties blazers on the RFU Council that have voted through the latest amendments to the Jason Leonard U20’s Championship. Henceforth this competition will be shoehorned to the end of the season and only players from Level 5 downwards will be eligible.
So hard luck to the 19-year olds from the likes of Redruth, Wharfedale, Fylde, Chester etc. No county rugby for you, lads. No shirts in the clubhouse and no names on the Club Honours Board.
