THERE was certainly plenty of value to be had at Putnoe Wood as Bury St Edmunds beat their hosts Bedford Athletic.
Harry Parker got the visitors’ first in just the fifth minute, but Bedford found their feet quickly – showing desire to move the ball as often as possible. That was rewarded when winger Josh Carnell went over, although that was swiftly matched by Bury skipper Matt Bursey, who went over after a powerful scrum.
