Saracens may tempt Kruis out of retirement

Saracens are understood to have sounded out former England and Lions lock George Kruis about a potential return to the club to cover for England international Nick Isiekwe.

Kruis, 32, made 126 appearances for Saracens before moving to Japan where he had a couple of seasons with Saitama Wild Knights, but we believe he was asked to extend his career. He retired at the end of last season after playing for the Barbarians against England and signed off by kicking a back heel conversion to run FourFive a company he founded with Sarries teammate Dom Day.
