Hinckley began their pre season fixtures with a hard fought draw in Northamptonshire.
The opening 20 minutes were pretty forgettable, but the first try went to the home side after 25 minutes through Josh Aston.
Hinckley then hit back quickly with two scores, the first from debutant Ben Pegler, and the second from the fullback Rory Vowles, which was converted by Joe Wilson.
An excellent backs move by the hosts on the stroke of half-time led to a try for Harry Winch taking Oundle in 14-12 at the break.
