Proud Pendlebury expects England U18s to hit back

England U18s head coach Jonathan Pendlebury was proud of team’s effort despite losing the first game of their three match tour of South Africa 40-24 on Friday.
Tries from Ethan Bester, Caleb Abrahams, Luca Bakkes, Jack Waterhouse and 18 points from the boot of Stehan Heymans led South Africa to a comfortable victory.
England flanker Jack Bennett took advantage of some poor SA defence to score in the first half before Loic Keasey scored a brace off the back of rolling mauls in the second.
