Prem XVs needs to be competitive

IT’S great news that DMP Durham Sharks have managed to raise funds to continue playing in the Premier XVs this season. Women’s rugby needs a team from that part of the country playing at the top level.
However, for the league to thrive, they really need to make some improvements on the field after losing all 18 of their games last season. Likewise Sale, who won only two of their league games. In a closed shop like this with no relegation, it is imperative all teams are competitive or the fans may quickly tune out if too many results can be predicted before kick off.
