Blues end Christchurch drought to surge top

EIGHTEEN long years after Carlos Spencer instigated their last win against the Crusaders in Christchurch, the Blues ended their winless run to make their most emphatic statement yet by going top of the league.
The visitors led 17-7 at the break as Finlay Christie and Dalton Papalii crossed with seven points deriving from the boot of Stephen Perofeta, while potent All Black full back Will Jordan touched down for the Crusaders.
