Runaway leaders gone for a Burton

BURTON provided the shock of the day in beating runaway league leaders Newport (Salop) and ending their 15-game winning run.
Newport’s winning run dated back until October but their title charge was brought to a halt with Burton taking a 30-22 away win.
Joshua Kent, Alfredo Bergada, Tristan De Jagger and James Davies all scored tries for the visitors while Charles Bunting kicked two conversions and two penalties.
Henry Vaka scored a brace of tries for the hosts and Orisi Nawaqaliva scored the other.
