Clermont join battle for Hughes

CLERMONT Auvergne have emerged as a serious threat to London Irish’s plans to sign former England No.8 Nathan Hughes for next season.
The Top 14 outfit who won the European Challenge Cup in 2019 have spoken to Hughes about a switch across the Channel.
The Exiles fear that they could now miss out on the 30-year-old Fijian-born star.
Hughes is currently on loan at Bath from Bristol Bears. His £500,000 a year contract with the Bears runs out at the end of the season and is not being renewed.
