Pirates may go part-time

CORNISH Pirates were due to have talks with benefactor Dicky Evans and his family at the end of the last week to decide if they are staying fully professional next season.
The Pirates, who are third in the Championship but did not apply for promotion, are set to decide if they will stay full-time for one more season.
Evans saved the club from going bust in the 1990s. He sold his shares to Jersey-based firm Vorladron Limited last May but continued to help finance the club. They will go part-time if that agreement ends.
