GARETH Davies remained coy about Caldy’s promotion challenge as they closed the gap to leaders Rosslyn Park with a deserved victory at Chinnor.
Mike Cartmill crossed with a couple of minutes to go in Oxfordshire to make sure of an eighth straight victory for the side from the Wirral.
With leaders Rosslyn Park losing at home to Rams, second-placed Caldy have now moved to within seven points of the top of the table.
