BISHOP’S Stortford narrowly came out on top in a low-scoring basement battle against Leeds Tykes.
Both sides tried to swing the ball around, but a combination of strong defences and a shortage of attacking invention restricted the scoring chances.
Stortford had the better of the early exchanges and were rewarded after 18 minutes with a try for Will Roberts, in support of a tremendous run by Alex Rayment off the back of an attacking line-out. George Cullen goaled.
