Watson and Joseph will stay at Rec – for now

BATH chairman Ed Griffiths has moved to keep England stars Anthony Watson and Jonathan Joseph at The Rec for another season at least.
The former Saracens boss took over as chairman of the Premiership’s basement dwellers on New Year’s Day and has made keeping the pair a priority. Watson was happy to let his contract run down to the end of the season and had been linked with a return to his former club London Irish.
But B lindside has been told that Bath have now activateda clause that will see Watson, 27, stay with the club for another season at least.
