Rochford battle to Westcliff success

ROCHFORD Hundred overcame a spirited and determined Westcliff to claim a bonus-point win over their long-standing rivals.
The home side started well, with hooker Robert Gardner going over for a try after four minutes and Chris Dudman converting. Westcliff launched a number of attacks, but were unable to break down the Rochford defence, while a few basic errors did not help their cause.
Powerful forward play resulted in the referee awarding Rochford a penalty try after 37 minutes, so they turned round at the break 14...
