Time for Amanda to break silence

IN THE Forbes’ list of the world’s 100 most powerful women, Amanda Blanc from Treherbert in the Rhondda ranks just behind the President of the European Commission, Ursula van der Leyen and the speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi.
The only Welsh woman in the list, Blanc is ranked at 26 ahead of Oprah Winfrey and Jacinda Ardern, New Zealand’s PM.
Little wonder that this time two years ago the Welsh Rugby Union turned cartwheels of delight at Blanc’s appointment as the independent chair of the joint Unionregions’ organisation to run the professional game...
