LOUGHBOROUGH sent the table-toppers crashing to just their second defeat of the season after a late penalty try.
Lightning came from 14-0 down to win, being awarded seven points in the 68th minute after Bristol illegally brought down the hosts’ maul.
With the two teams looking evenly matched in the opening minutes, a moment of magic from Jasmine Joyce put Bears ahead. The electric winger popped up for her second a few minutes later.
