Watching the Exeter/Sara cens game it was great to see a referee finally asserting his authority as they did when I played; Luke Pearce used a punishment that we haven’t seen in quite a while: the ten yard rule, which was probably the main reason why players in my day didn’t question referees decisions no matter what.
Put simply, if anyone other than the captain of the offending team questions or comments on any decision made by the referee, your team is instantly subjected to an additional punishment.
