HULL IONIANS overcame a spirited Blaydon to record a comfortable win, scoring nine tries, and had they had more success from the tee the win would have been even more emphatic.
Blaydon were at the races for much of the first half, trailing by seven at the break, but, once Ionians cut loose, they were left very much in their wake.
