Ever-green Sonia brings up her triple century

PREVIEW… v Today, 2pm, StoneX Stadium

STALWART Sonia Green will bring up her 300th appearance for Saracens today in their top-four clash against Exeter at the StoneX Stadium.

The veteran lock, 38 – who signed on for season number 20 this summer – will start her fourth consecutive match in the Sarries engine room alongside Georgia Evans for the hosts as she marks a huge personal milestone.

“Waiting for selection each week is nerve wracking, but this week has been heightened by the fact we have Exeter at home. I couldn't think of a better game play my 300th game,” said Green, below. “I always feel honoured to put on the shirt and although it's a special occa- sion I really just want to focus improving from last week against , putting into practice what we have worked on this week and performing for the girls, the club and getting the win.”

Head coach Alex Austerberry has made two changes to give Hannah Botterman and Chantelle Miell their returns to the starting line-up, replacing Rocky Clark and Rachael Laqeretabua in the front row and back three.

Last season Exeter upset Saracens to end their 33- game winning streak and have given Clara Nielson her full debut following an injury to Emily Tuttosi, which also means replacement hooker Daisy French is named on the bench alongside fit-again Sachiko Kato.
