WASPS’ plans to get a second row into their squad before the new season kicks off have been hit by the row between clubs and agents.
Head coach Lee Blackett is looking for a lock to bolster his squad and has been searching around the globe for someone free to move to Warwickshire immediately.
Blackett looked at Stormers lock David Meihuizen, below, but he is now set to stay in South Africa and, like Harlequins, who were also interested, Blackett is looking elsewhere.
