CAELAN Doris is developing into a Lions contender according to Sir Ian McGeechan, who coached the Lions on four occasions.
The forthcoming internationals and then Six Nations battles due to start in February will help make or break the hopes of many players dreaming of taking on the Springboks next summer.
Leinster back-rower Doris broke into the Irish team at the beginning of the year, making a shortlived debut against Scotland where he sustained concussion. But he impressed in the remainder of the tournament including recent clashes with Italy and France.
